The Organizing Committee of the World Masters Games (WMG) 2021 Kansai, in cooperation with the International Masters Games Association (IMGA), has announced their decision to re-schedule the Games to May 13-29, 2022.

The IMGA has approved the WMG2021 Kansai Organizing Committees’ proposal following the initial postponement due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a news release, the Organizing Committee expressed their sincere appreciation the patience and understanding shown by the athletes, volunteers, host municipalities, co-organizers, supporting organizations, sports federations and sponsoring companies.

The Committee indicated they will secure and take over the participation registrations and volunteer registration which have already entered without any change from their previous guidance. Since the process of renewing the Sports Information Guide which will determine competition dates and venues, the Committee will announce all the adjustments to competition dates and time on their website as soon as those decisions are confirmed.
